The continuing story of a Fat Man, gone to the bush

It’s all on tomorrow

As I type I am sitting in a restaurant in Te Anau having my last dinner before I start tomorrow.  I have had a great couple of days travelling down from Wellington, and now a year’s worth of planning and preparation has come to this.

I have to say I have mixed feelings.  I am undeniably anxious about it, but also excited, and keen to get it all over with and behind me.

My boat leaves tomorrow at 10:30 am.  I am staying at a lodge just 200m away from the jetty.  All last minute packing is done.  It is time to go.Tickets

So I will post when I return (actually day after I return as there is no coverage at the lodge so will have to travel closer to civilisation to post).

Here goes nothing!
